At FIBS, we see a future in which everyone’s basic needs are met in a sustainable manner. As a company, we feel compelled to contribute to that vision by improving the habitation quality of the social world in which we live and work.
We believe that the construction industry can and must contribute to the sustainability of our planet. That is why we have created FIBS Building Systems. Our innovative wood construction method operates under a notion which synergizes construction and nature into an outstanding end product, not only in terms of its environmental characteristics, but also in terms of the design and construction quality.
FIBS Building Systems uses mainly locally and regionally available materials, especially certified wood obtained from responsible wood sourcing. Creating FIBS products consumes significantly fewer resources and due to its natural materials it offers a healthy living and working environment.
Due to its modular and interchangeable design, the FIBS Building Blocks, and its connector, the FIBS Key, we have managed to create a building system which allows for a repeated assembly and disassembly. We believe that truly green buildings need to be designed for a possible de- and reconstruction, hence, expanding the lifespan of building components and materials. In this way, we can retrieve, recycle and reuse materials and entirely eliminate the demolishing process to reduce the waste-generation on a long-term basis.
Our aim is to encourage and facilitate economic growth through sustainable development by providing solutions that support the people and protect the planet. By integrating sustainability into everything we do, we minimize our waste, water and energy footprints, and set an example for others to follow. As we grow, our goal is to push hard to ensure that ecological and healthy homes and buildings become the benchmark and that sustainable living is commonplace for everybody.
